Food

Food provides the building blocks of the body. In your lifetime, you may eat over 80,000 meals. By managing your food choices and amounts, you are controlling a MAJOR ELEMENT of your wellness. His latest book is:

Dr. Greger’s recommendation is to eat plant-based whole foods and he has a free, user-friendly app called Daily Dozen which has a 13 items you attempt to check off everyday. Most days, I hit 10 or 11 of the 13 and that has taken about a year to achieve.

My daily regimen is eating either meusli (raw oatmeal with nuts, dried fruit, chia seeds and almond milk) or a smoothie in the morning (1 cup organic fruit, 1/4 cup hemp hearts, and enough almond milk to blend), an avocado cup (from Costco) and some veggies or chips at lunch, and a big salad plus something else at night. An unexpected bonus on going plant-based is that my grocery bill is lower as organic meat and dairy products are expensive.

By planning your food with conscious choices, you take control of a major element of your health, save time and money, and get to have exactly what you like.
